Full-Day Santo Domingo City Tour from Punta Cana

1.Full-Day Santo Domingo City Tour from Punta Cana

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 4,500 reviews · from $95Our pick

Travel from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo with a guide such as Nacho, Kevin, or Darius, then walk the Colonial Zone, visit the cathedral, Royal Houses Museum, and Fortaleza Ozama, enjoy Dominican lunch, and see the Columbus Lighthouse from the bus.

“It was a long drive to the city for those who don't like 3 1/2 to 4 hrs on a bus. Some of the buses have comfortable headrests and some don't. The museum was great. The lunch was delicious. The headsets as we walked around town were quite crackly, which could be very annoying to some. The guide knew all his facts very well, but was a touch impersonal with the group. I think he had been doing it a long time and I am not sure he enjoyed the work.”

“This was such a fun day! I read a few of the negative reviews on here before going and was a little hesitant, but we had so much fun! It’s definitely a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. The zip lines were great. The water attractions were a lot of fun. The buggy track was AWESOME. There was no one walking around taking pictures, which was disappointing at the end because we didn’t get many pictures. But we still had a great day. Staff were all very friendly. Lunch at the restaurant was yummy. 10/10 recommend!”

“Speed boat out was fun. Snorkeling was very basic. Didn’t see many fish. Natural swimming pool was a big bunch of boats hanging out in some shallow water. The island itself was beautiful but so overtaken by tourists and boats it was hard to enjoy. The catamaran back was long and very loud with drunk people so not ideal for families. Photography guys were nice but tried to charge us an arm and a leg for the photos.”

“Beautiful nature, but very bad organisation of the whole trip. Combining scuba diving tourists with snorkeling tourists is not a good idea. We were there for the snorkeling and the island, but mainly waited all the time for the setting of scuba divers. Too many people from the stuff which mainly talked to eachother and drunk rum, with no attention to the tourists. Extremely loud music, but only the stuff had fun, not caring at all if people have party experience or not.”
